SCREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMM!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
STAGE 1:
That branch is not turning because of the time of year. It's too early yet. It must have been due to the wind storm and the flash flood we had a couple of weeks ago. It's not been cool yet even. It been hot all summer. Yes, hot. Not even cool in the evenings yet. HOT I SAY!
STAGE 2:
We didn't have summer for the two past years and finally a great, friggin' fabulous one and it's mid-August already. Who plants maple trees on their property anyways. They're like the angel of death standing over you holding an hour glass to remind you of how much time you have left. Damn maple trees.
STAGE 3:
I promise I'll start taking better care of the gardens and plant the remaining 2 flats of flowers I never planted in the Spring. Just please! Not yet! Waaaaaaa! I'm not done enjoying Summer yet. It's too early for the signs of Fall to start!
STAGE 4:
Wake me up in the Spring, I'm not getting out of bed until then.
STAGE 5:
Screw stage 5! There is no acceptance when it comes to the Summer ending. I want heat. I want sun. I want to be sweating on my bike, cutting grass, eating watermelon and complaining about fighting children at home. I hate stage 5. There is no acceptance!
Okay, maybe I haven't made it past the stage 2 anger phase yet.
I should have been born a Floridian.
p.s. the newest fence on the left.

Summers here are miserable, so I look forward to fall.
I think summers here are pretty much the same as summers there except with less cement so maybe not quite as hot in the core of the city. We also get about the same amount of snowfall in the summer as you.
Summer, what's summer I'm still waiting for it, Oh well maybe next year. Well actually we've had some nice days, only not enough, it didn't arrive until middle of July when the days started getting shorter. But this is a "Next Year" country.
Summer just started here. Weatherly, I mean. (Oooh, did I just make up a word?)
Nice stages, btw. I approve steadily increasing levels.
I want it to be winter, can't stand the heat. I was born in the middle of a blizzard so love snow :D
but it is nice to sit out in the sun sometimes :)
sadly.....it isn't very far around the corner here either....although, today...after a cool and miserable day yesterday, it is a blistering +31C ... you'd never guess how close it is to "that" time of year....I ain't even sayin' it aloud...
Im With You. The More Heat The Better!
I use to love summer. I would lay in the sun with no sunscreen (which I regret). I could bake all day. I could walk at night and be happy it was so hot.
I dislike summer so much now. Luckily we haven't had much of one in So CAl but it has heated up over the last few weeks.
How is Kurt's painting coming?? huh?? ha.
our too Perp ... dropped like the proverbial stone overnight....from blistering hot to cool enough to put on extra sweaters or turn on the furnace...which I absolutely refuse to do in August!
a huge thunder, lightning and rain/hail storm last night.... and this morning...only +9C....arrgghhh! ya can feel it in the air...golf is almost over....... darn it all anyway...just when I was almost getting onto it.!
Think maybe it's a good day for baking.... oh, ... and I better drag out the vacuum... or do laundry..... sigh.... all the stuff I don't feel like doing.
I know what you mean about summer, but I have always loved fall so I am not too distraught! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I understand being creatively stuck...been there for sure. I have a friend who game me good advice. She said go to your workspace everyday, even if you don't know what your making, just clean or straighten and putter around and eventually an idea will come. It pretty much works!
I am a fall/spring person but I am much dreading winter and those terrible drives downtown on the ice that increase my heart rate! Thanks for your comment - kind of on a blog hiatus.
