Crows and Teens

I was watching a family of crows on my fence with my 13 year old, Two of Four.  The parents were feeding their very loud squawking offspring.

"I wonder why their still feeding their babies." I said to Two of Four.  "They're the same size as the parents.  You'd think they could take care of themselves by now."

"Huh," she replies in a sarcastic voice, "you still feed One of Four and she's 15 and taller than you."

"Point taken."

Out of the mouth of babes...sometimes come so much advanced knowledge. Such a simple answer to a complex question. I love children so much, and then they become TEENS, oh the horrors of that, but they become normal again when they become adults. I think I enjoy them best between the ages of birth to eleven. Oh okay, I love them but that is when I enjoy them.

Crows must be good parents and hard workers.

God bless.
